Frigging awsome. I had often wondered what I would do if I were in Lenna's situation, don't ask I'm just strange that way. It is wonderful to see her living life on her own terms and not letting a little hick-up change anything.

When you get to Arkansas you must check out the roads around Eureka Springs. I have ridden them and Deals Gap and I like ES better. While you are there you will have to go for a soak as well they are supposed to have magical healing powers, I don't know if it's true but it sure feel's good after being in the saddle for days on end (pun alert).

When you get to Memphis give me a holler and I can put you up and feed ya barbecue for a few days. God speed and safe travels.

P.S. our home is wheelchair friendly with wide doors and plenty of room to move around in and a black lab to handle your every need as long as your only need is to rub a black labs belly.

Might I suggest , Mad River to Weaverville and then over hwy3. Just stunning in parts. Also in that area, the Gazelle Callahan Rd. is much more scenic than going through Etna.

Also if you need a place to stay in the Medford area, I have a big back yard(camping) or and extra room, that your welcome to.

Thumb

We since the OP has not updated this in a few days thought I would share with the collective.

So the bikes got to my garage on Monday, after they spent the weekend exploring the marvels that are LA

Willingly I might add...

Over the weekend the trailer arrive from MotoMule.

As usual his stuff is top notch, I was done with my work on the 990 and since the tools were already out...

From this

to this

So Monday the bikes are at the garage and Stewy discovers there are electrical issues with the 690

Turns out he was using a thermal switch as a distribution block for the hot side. It was old and due to the age causing it to trigger when power was applied. Think of this as a resettable fuse that is thermally activated.

Well we got that SOB out of there.

After doing some more investigating the wiring was very complex but the connections were sub-standard.

So we spent a couple of hours with the soldering gun and got it all sorted, after soldering all the connections we heat shrunk them, applied dielectric grease and buttoned it all back up.

At this moment they are on their way to Las Vegas, saw them off this morning in the AM before work.

Incredible....you are awesome Lenna!

Looking forward to following your journey. If you change your path and end up in Maine, give a shout out - would love to ride with you!

Hi guys been a long couple of days yes we are finally on the road well atleast for the day, had an issue with the the ktm today spent a couple of hours trying to fix it roadside, got it good enough to limp about 120miles intod a machinist in las vegas to make up some shims now though......

As dave has already posted we bought a motomule from mike, beautiful piece of equipment and tows nicely behind the dl650, considering how much longer then stock I had it made to hold the wheelchair.

To dave as has been said in other threads, this bloke is just truly amazing, we can't thank you enough for the help getting everything sorted, a place to stash stuff and for just opening up you home to complete strangers and helping us live our dreams.

Anyway of to grab some grub, will upload some pictures of the last couple of days after that

Wow, in!

This is inspirational, thanks for shharing! Nominated to front pg pic thread.
In NM consider a unique lightning rod location:
http://www.diaart.org/sites/page/56/1301

In UT consider a great view http://monumentvalleyview.com/*

In PA sidecar shop. Search inmate Claude or see Hacks. I'm guessing he would set up an event around your arrival; if you want to ask.

From previous post, if going into corner too hot & at lean limit - some riders can turn the bike by sliding the rear by locking up the rear brake in a controlled way. Maybe something to look into?
