June 30th, not 20th. I wish I could do Friday, but kids keep me at one night only for the time being.

HM when were you thinking of reserving a site? If the weather looks good a week or so in advance I'll come up friday afternoon, grab a site, and bum around saturday doing some notch riding.

I was thinking about Moose Brook State Park. The sites fit 4 adults, so we could split a site, perhaps...

Opps that is what I meant. So the travel plans may have changed on my end. I may end up riding up with you guys on Saturday after all. Either way I am a YES for June 30th. And, camping for Saturday night. I also Don't mind splitting a site with someone.

Check out this Long way from Fitzwilliam, NH to Gorham. Let me know what you think: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...1#post21623181

Yes, I know it is longer than necessary, but who wants to ride on the superslab.

Did this ride last year in August, the last date they offered it. It was awesome. We waited in line a bit but some bikes managed to get in the same spot in line. I've hiked or ridden up that mountain plenty of times since the 1970s but never road a motorbike up in the dark. It was very cool. About the mile 7 marker, clouds were blowing down the mountain all around us. The headlights in the water vapor were amazing. Just short of the summit we rode into clear air, parked at the top and waited for the sunrise. It was a perfect morning. Clear, warm, and calm. Have to do it again. Got to be careful however. You can meet some scurvy-looking characters up there. (See last photo.)

I know you are in VT, but I don't know where...so, what time would you like to meet in Fitzwilliam, NH intersection of 12 and 119.

Considering it is about 8 hrs ride without counting for stops, gas, and food, I'd say the earlier the better

I wanna go!
I know I'll open my yap to the kids and they'll want in so mommy will have to drive them up in the coffin and they will camp too. Hmmmm.
I'll have to figure it out. Either way, I want to ride to the summit with you guys if I can go.
I have an awesome route up through VT, starting at Stratton ski area if anyone is interested. Awesome. I did it with a buddy on the beemer a while back. This time I'd like to do it on the XR.
The southern route is great too. We had one bridge out from Irene that had us scout a good stream crossing. Almost too much for DB and his 800. Good thing it was short (like him:)
If anyone has to go far to do the ride up with me, I have room for 4-5 guys at my house. Just don't cuddle each other

We camped at Dolly Copp, but I am always in to checking out something new.
The 30th is the date?

I am in Springfield. About an hour northwest. Another 50 miles isn't gonna hurt me. I figure we probably don't want to set up camp in the dark if we can help it so how about leaving no later than 7am sound? Could be earlier if we need to.

7am sounds fine, even though 8ish would also do fine. Leaving around 8, with an hour for lunch, another couple of hours for stops along the way, and we'll be up there around 5. Plenty of time to set up camp and go out for dinner.

Think about it.

That is, unless you want to do Kriss' route through VT.

Can you post the track in the same thread where I posted mine, in GPS?
