but if you sneak-import this from Canada, how do you get green/red stickers for the People's republic of California? Do other states have title/registration problems?
I don't know about the PRoC but in Wa off road only vehicles are too much of an issue. If you have an mso on a new bike you should be able to register it. I think never tried.

As long as I have an MSO I would be fine in ID, and pretty much the same when I lived in WA. Sticker in CA I would guess is likely not to happen, unless you get lucky some how. (Never done any CA sticker so don't really know, just guessing based on threads I have seen.)

Glad I don't have that problem.

Yes, MSO in WA will get you ORV no issues with an offload bike.

See, the reason I asked is from a lot of the same threads you've seen, trials importers even, they don't go through the issues, because 99% of the bikes sold are private "competition only" classification, which then screws us selling to a person in CA, and it is because of the freaking hoops that get raised each year by our federal and state governments... Might as well be ruled by a king/dictator I guess, as it is just as bad anymore. (ok almost).

It sucks that CA gets stuck in that mess... I wish there was a way people down there could just have some kind of emissions check on there bike and if it passes they can get a sticker based on how well it did (red/green) and transfer the bike to CA and if they can't pass it then find a different bike...

Noticed a little activity on the Montesa USA web site--maybe we're going to see some new bikes this year.

Wow, that website's a blast from the past! Might want to update the hompage, there's been a few more titles won since 2007.

Sine the English version of the product page isn't up yet here's a translated link.

I don't know if this is an improvement or not. It will be cheaper but no more Showa bits

2 versions, both with HRC 260 engines, 4RT 260 and the Race Replica, standard model gets tech forks a R16V monoshock and cheaper rims, whilst the Race replica gets Showa suspension and DID rims. New Tek brakes etc etc.

Bit disapointing really, no new bike, but will be a very nice bike anyways and looks nice, especially if the price is 20% lower than before, as rumoured.

Hope you guys in the States get to buy one soon.
