A summer of touring on an R6

A long time lurker, I figure it may be time to post up.

I'm based out of Northern BC but from WA.

I've spent the last couple of months running a 2009 R6S around WA/OR/ID/MT, BC & AB with a quick run up to Hyder, Alaska. ~10k miles put on as of this morning with another 4k to go.

Stock bike aside from a slip on.

I've met quite a few ADV riders out there this summer, always great guys & gals.

Cheers :)

Nice pics! I think too many folks on here think you have to have an "adventure bike" to have and adventure. Keep showing them that's not the case

Nice, one of the best first posts I've seen on Adv!

Cheers,

Ya-hoooooo.....!!!!! Touring on a sportbike! YEAH! Great pics and it looks like a great series of rides. Love the shots of the 6 with mud on her! Expect posters to ask you how you managed to ride it off paved roads. Hope there's more to come. I'm sure you have some great stories to go with the photos, but if typing's not your thing, that's okay. The photos tell a great story themselves. Thanks again for taking us along!

Thanks for the welcome gents.

I'm not much of a writer, especially compared with some of the talent in these forums! I'll get my act together sometime and do a proper write-up :)

Below are a couple of pictures from the last ride home for the season. It looks like the R6 will be going to a good home this weekend. I'll be back with a litre setup next season. Cheers.

Last two up for the season...

All serviced for the ride home.

Loaded up.

Hard to beat these views coming home.
