I saw you mention the TAT thru N Carolina, but I cant find any information on it?

I dont have topo maps on my zumo, and as I know very little about gps's, not sure how easy that is to put on it, or really where to find them.
Any input would be appreciated!

Doug

rtwdoug- I just sent you the information on the tracks and maps for your GPS in a PM. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you at Barber's.

Critic- I used to come to Peoria every year for the AHRMA races there, but Peoria is no longer on the AHRMA schedule. That's a shame, I really liked the track there. Still, I would love to see your friend's collection some day.

stickman1432- Thanks, and I hope you get the chance to ride it someday!

Hardroad- Thanks!

TAT eastward

There is an existing eastward extension of the TAT - first there is a connector to the TET-S, then if you follow the TET-S and SL southward there is an extension that goes to Tybee Island past Savanna GA.

I built them Spring 2012 and Sam blessed them as an eastward extension at that time.

Sam talked about maybe building his own route to the east coast, but don't know if he's done it yet.

To get the tracks/route, go to Layin' Down Tracks, East Coast on this site and request the files in the TET-S thread.

After the legal battle/power struggle, the AHRMA event attendance was dropping. I thought, Tom Boyd was working on having an AMA vintage event; but there is nothing on our schedule. Looks like I need to go to more PMC meetings. Tom, and I with a couple friends did the Alaska thing in '79.
My vintage friend's and myself are not getting any younger, so sooner rather than later! I hope you can make it back this way soon.

Critic- Thanks for the photos, and it would be great if the PMC would consider hosting vintage events again. I loved the Moto Armory as well as the R and K photos! R and K have many valuable classic bikes, too bad some are deteriorating in the less than perfect storage facilities. I noticed a Road Toad in a stack of bikes in one of the photos! Thanks for sharing these pictures.
NorthernTraveler- Thanks for sharing the information on the tracks and for your hard work putting those routes together. Keep up the good work!
Alpenglo- Thanks, and I sent you an e-mail. I will be in Humboldt County for the next month, and I am sure we can meet up and share a sandwich and talk about the old days!
Ol Man, bykpimp, GeneC- Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it!

I went to the AHRMA event in Peoria a couple times competing in the trials, the rigid class, on a '50 panther.
was a nice place.

Whew! Late congratulations, Andy. We've been up in Charlottesville delivering Maria.

Donna and I were wondering if you'd dropped off the face of the earth the last day when no Spot messages were posted on 2 July. Now I know why -- good reason.

Enjoy,

Tom

TomW- As you know, you have to hold down the tracking button for a few seconds after you turn the device on and wait for the green light to flash. I thought I had it on, but forgot to monitor it during the ride. I had my hands full that day trying to get around the logging operations. The day before it was the thick forest canopy that made the track erratic. Thanks again for helping Donna find a way to get close to me the night I was stranded in the Nevada desert.

VintageSpeed- Glad you enjoyed the report and thanks for the comments.

Great report ABee! One of the best of the TAT's. Makes me want to dust
off the '79 KLX250, if only it had plates. Then again there are a couple of
old Elsinores for sale near here, and the Hodakas seem to be coming out
of the woodwork.
