Motoflyfishing

Although not moto fly fishing, there was some fly fishing involved. Fishing with kids can be frustrating at times but the smiles and excitement makes it all worth while! The kids had an awesome time...and so did dad watching them catch fish.

Great thread. Last year I got back into two of my favorite hobbies, dual sport riding and fishing, this year, the plan is to combine both. I've been wanting to get into fly fishing for years, I'll have to do it this year.

Heading to West Virginia this weekend for three days of fly fishing. The weather keeps looking better so there may be a chance of the moto going. Come on spring! !!!!!

We (DarinB) and myself decided it was time to fish the Owens River again. A quick 300 mile ride from Orange County CA put us at our "Camp site"
Great fishing, great riding and great weather.

Cant seem to post pics so here you go:

It's the last weekend of the early trout season in WI, and I decided to take the bike out and get a few casts in.

I bought a new bike recently, and this will be the first of many motoflyfishing excursions with it.

All loaded up

And here we are at the stream

Tried behind this downed tree

And no luck

So I gave below the dam a try

Still nothing

Only a lot of tangles and frustration. My cast is pretty rusty from the long winter. I'm glad no one else was around, because It was embarrassing

Moved a little further down stream

And sadly, no luck there either. Oh well, maybe next time.

The wind was pretty bad today, so I am going to blame my poor performance on the that.

Nice day for a ride anyhow.

Fixed that for ya.

Go and spin no more.
(Unless you enjoy it, of course. That's the key to fishing isn't it really?)
