Hate to hear about the dings, did that about 10 years ago somewhere between Bat Cave an Saluda. Unfortunately the shop I used is closed now.

A few miles up maybe. You can see the spot where he bent the rims because it's where the Highway department cut a trench across the road to put a pipe under it, and they didn't fill it all the way back up.

I'm trying to contact Bikesalot because his cameras should be able to tell us if that's where the bag came off, or if it came off much earlier. It could have come off on any of the bumpy roads I guess, because it was a Givi bag NOT mounted on a Givi carrier.

I think I did see a yellow truck with some fellas sleeping in it when I was looking for the case

And Mike it was Givi mount hardware, just not a made for givi rack. The mounts were hand measured and drilled into the suzuki factory rack, and made it through a few months of riding. Including wolf mountain rd just the week before.

So if you were to somehow find this missing Givi bag, you would just snap it back on, and continue to carry it on the same non-Givi rack???

I will take a look at the case if its found, and the rack before I do anything. Until then I will take a look at the fitment with the other case. And I think I will take the wheel to frame straight over in TN to repair the front rim. This weekend I will get both rims off and post some pics.

. . . and I wish you would take the tires off those rims, and take those rims over to the Madison County Highway Department over in Marshall, and show those geniuses what they have done (or at least send them a good photo) so maybe they will STOP leaving their unfinished work in a dangerous state.
