Ther is a lot of info on thumpertalk. Seems like everyone who has one or has ridden one loves them.

I checked TT. Nothing really comparing the two. I posted a question there too. If I get an answer at TT I will post here. Somebody here must own one of these...

I have a late 2012 Beta 300rr, one of the first to be delivered here in Holland.

So far I have clocked over 2000km's on it and it works great.

Had 2 little issues, clutch pump missed a washer which was an official recall and the head gasket rubber got pinched during assembly(I think). Pressure built up in the cooling system which resulted in a coolant hose blowing from the T connection under the tank. No other damage and she still runs strong. My first 2stroke and I love it! Really light and nimble with loads of poke. 2 stroke all the way for me now :)

Just had the suspension rebuilt as it was a little bouncy, can't wait to try it again!

whats up with that?

is there a way to get the 2013 suspension on the 2014s ?

Ya, Ill have to keep it around, have it set up too good to let it go. The Beta will be plated so the 530 might get jealous too. I think I can handle it though

Beta 300RR

Ive had my 14 Beta 300RR out 2 times now at Walker and I am very happy I went with the Beta. The bike is perfect for the kind of riding I enjoy. The tighter the better and the 300RR has such an electric feeling motor you just dial what you want and its there. Easy to short shift and keep it in the sweet spot. So far Im also happy with the suspension. I did heavy up the springs on both ends but I push 240lbs. Very plush and as of now I just left the clickers right in the middle. The happy button is sweet as well.

With 2.5 gallons of fuel, what kind of range are owners getting? I'm looking for something with reliable 100+ mile range for mostly trail riding. The 4-Strokes I've been riding all weigh between 275 (XR250) - 400+ pounds (KLR 650). I haven't owned a two stroke since I put a '72 Kawasaki 350 F-9 rotary valve motor in a '68 250 Greeves Challenger frame back in the early 70's. At my ever advancing age, a sub 250# bike is looking more attractive.
