690 enduro r missfire

Hi all,
I recently bought a 09 690r enduro. The bike was running fine and I have ridden it twice once off road.
It has a full akra system which needs sealing properly between the header and the mid section.
The bike started stalling at junctions and took a few seconds of cranking before it fired up.
I bought a rally raid petrol cap to try and stop mud getting in the tank. I also bought a new fuel filter thinking this may be the problem.
I have been away for a few weeks, got back and bike now will barely run, feels like crap in carb (if it had one!)
I have changed the filter inside the tank. This was filthy and quite difficult to blow through compared with the new one!
I thought I had cracked it!
But bike still runs just the same, I did notice the display and clock started flashing a few times while the bike was idaling, its almost as if the bike has a bad connection somwhere.
Any ideas?
I will post this in the off road and adventure section too
Thanks Neil

Its the fuel injector plugging up.
Clean it and run some injector cleaner in the fuel tank for a fill up and you will be good to go.
There is a very fine screen in the injector that clogs up.
Good luck!
