Question Place for a tire change in Albuquerque

Planning on heading out from Richmond, VA to do the CO and UT BDR in July. After my last trek across the US to do the Rawhyde course in January, I think I will be in need of some new shoes prior to hitting the BDR.

Being that the Super Tenere is a shaft drive with ABS (and having seen is done previous), it is a bit more technical than your typical tire swap.

Anyone have any recommendations on any motoshops in/around Albuquerque that can get a job done well?

There's a Cycle Gear there.
CycleGear.com

I've had tires changed there in the past.

The tire swap on the S-10 isn't so bad. Cyclegear is great. Take the wheels off in the parking lot--one at a time is my suggestion, though!

You can always try the good folks at Sandia BMW, although they may only do BMWs. But since your bike wants to be a BMW, it might just work out in your favor.

Tires

Bobby J's Yamaha on Menaul http://www.bjsyamaha.com/
R&S Yamaha on Juan Tabo
Moto-Authority on Eubank http://moto-authority.com/

The first two are both Yamaha Dealers.

MotoAuthority is independent--great guy runs it Steve--they are open everyday except Sunday. Tire prices are great too. My guess is Steve will order you exactly the tires you want and at a fair price. You will have to ask about your specific bike but I do know that they work on a wide cross section of street and dirt bikes.

R$S on Lomas (KM Kaw Suz) most likely will have competitive prices on tires I think R&S on Juan Tabo (YAM) is moving down to consolidate with R&S on Lomas but not sure you would have to call.

That's great!
What is "did right"?
What was the cost?

Used Bobby J's on my trip last year for a tire change. They worked me in quickly and were very nice.
