Are R1100R and R1100GS kickstands the same?

My 96 GS has a weirdly modified kickstand and I've been looking for a stock replacement. Ebay barfed up one from a 98 R1100R. The entire assembly LOOKS identical on the fiche--it looks like the same diagram in fact--but the part numbers are different.

GS fiche
R fiche

Should I take the chance?

Unfortunately not. The R1100GS is taller.

If the OP doesn't bite I will. My side stand is tweaked. Or I might be interested in the OP's side stand.

Also looking for a r1100gs side stand though it appears there is a bit of a run on them.

Sorry Gaijin, I just sent the payment for it.

I hope this didn't come out sounding condescending.

Just an FYI. You can take the R1100R stand and lengthen it. You could even make it adjustable.
