Thanks for the summary.

I think it's great that they will hold them for you until you return. That way if we screw something up it doesn't derail the whole trip. Personally, I would only take a gun if I were actually hunting, so I would also have game bags, hunting permits, and be travelling by pickup truck.

As a Canadian , the only time I bought and carried bear spray was when camping in Oregon !

I have carried it on backcountry of MT, WY and BC and coastal kayaking trips thru BC.. never had to use it .. but it would beat kicking a bear in the nose with one foot while he naws on the other...........! :-)
