Alva, OK

So we stayed in Braman last night at a truck stop and got recharged and showered, but we did no ride reporting. We have now stopped in for lunch and wifi in Alva.

Cruising on the levy on the way into AR

Other TAT riders we meet at the Casino. They had a rear wheel bearing casualty that had to be fixed.

White Rock Mountain. We stopped here and took out time. The sun was setting and we were getting really great pics. Unfortunately we spent too much time there and ended up doing Warloop road at night. No big deal though

We woke up the next morning and had some breakfast beers with my girlfriend and a buddy that came down from Branson.

Once in Oklahoma we started hitting the plains. Had a great time in Pryor with Throttlemaster.

We have many more pictures and writing to do but want to get back in the dirt today and knock out some miles!

It was great to meet you guys and thanks for letting me hang with you Saturday. Hope you got some rest and didn't stay up too late swapping lies with Throttlemeister.

Chilling at a Mexican joint in Liberal, KS. We're shooting for Colorado tonight! My speedo failed on my KLR last night, doesn't look like an issue at the connections, hopefully I'll be able to replace that bad boy in Colorado or Utah. We hung out with some nice people in Doby Springs last night, enjoying a few brews and ended up camping out at the local park campground. Gorgeous riding out here though the rolling plains. Broke my laptops screen back in Arkansas puting the bike down hard on a cattlegaurd. Shipped that pup home, but we're still moving along. Fall count: KLR=4; KTM=8.5, Rick and Ian can attest to the half point

I was wondering how far you would make it out West after brunch the other morning.

I was a nice time, glad Rick, the gf, and my sister showed up to help out at the little party

Was a hell of a good feed for me

Goodluck with the rest of your trip

John

Thanks again for taking us in Throttlemeister!!! Was a great time...we're in Trinidad, CO now. Got in too late to try the pass for Salida. So we'll be hanging out here for the day. Should be an update up tonight.

We are in Salida now. Will be heading out tomorrow morning. Will probably be wild camping it tomorrow night as it is the 4th of July holidays and everyplace between salida and Ophir pass is booked solid. Including most of the campgrounds.

How was the ride out to Salida? Hopefully we'll be able to swing a stealth camp or find someone kind enough to offer a small section of their backyard....Been having great luck camping. We've met up with a couple other TAT riders out here tonight, so we'll see what happens. You guys stay safe.

We have been lucky with thunderstorms around here lately. Almost no dust. The ride was nice except for the bald tires.

We have a camp site with gravel for tomorrow night but we might try something else...

It was good meeting you! We definitely got caught doing some night riding last night, camped in Gunnison at 9,200 feet. Good thing we picked up sleeping bags!!! Hoping for Moab tonight!
