[QUOTE=simbaboy;21696045] At a gas station this guy and his wife came over and we started talking. When he found out we were heading to Moab he suggested getting off at the Cisco exit and take Route 128South to Moab instead of the Interstate and the Hwy191.

Thanks you Friend, whoever you were. He and his wife ride Ninjas so I doubt he will ever read this, but you never know!"

I would bet money on this being RedNinja, they are inmates on this site and live in Durango

I will send him and his wife a PM. That is one of my favorite routes that the two of them recommended.

Hello Sam.

Many of my DNA molecules must be from The National Parks in Utah. Even my girls love this area. A little while ago we rode up to Arches and had dinner there. Very Zen like experience as it had cooled down, mild drizzle, and very few cars.

Well, I have been practicing on the trails and I am getting a little more confidant. The new tires are also helping a lot. I also am riding very lite. The side cases are empty and help with picking the bike up. Yes, I had to gently lay the bike down after almost making it up a steep hill. I had victory in my grasp but then I choose a wrong line, went into deep sand, freaked out, let off the throttle,.....!

Take Care friend and keep riding.
Simba

Well, I did part of The WRT today

Hotel to Potash to Musselman Arch to further down the trail, past cutoff to Lathrop Trail and maybe 8 miles more, then back to hotel same way ( I was not in the mood for climbing Schafers as I have done that twice before):
Total Distance for the round trip was 96 miles.

I will start a new thread with pics from several rides this week.
Thanks all for advice. I will one day (maybe August or later) do the whole trail but not solo.

Thanks
Simba
