Croatia Ferries

Does anyone know how regular the island hopping ferries are? I'll be heading down the main route to Dubrovnik but have the option of coming back via Bosnia or via the islands. If the ferries run regularly then this could be the preferred option.

Does anyone have any experience of riding the islands - Peljesac, Korcula, Hvar, Brac, Pag?

Does anyone have any accommodation recommendations for the coast - camping or room? Rooms would need to be sub 50euros (am I dreaming here?)

Hi!

You can see all the lines at www.jadrolinija.hr page, you can choose english, and then go to "Sailing schedule", best is to go then on "Search schedule on map", so you can see where the ferries are sailing.

There really is a lot to see on islands, so go there and enjoy. I think camping is about 15 for bike+person if I remember well. Also room should not be a problem to find for a normal price on islands, depends when are going to take your trip.

If you need anything just send me mail cikimail()yahoo.com

Croatia Islands

Hi Teabar

We visit Croatia every year and have used the ferry from Split out to Korcula, camped on the Island for a week we then caught another ferry to Dubrovnik rode up the coast and into Bosnia, visiting Mostar we then camped in the Velebit National park.
This year we will visit Plitvica National park and then Island hop Rab, Krk,Cres. If you camp take a tarp to put over your tent as it gets very hot in the sun and you will be glad of the shade, just a tip.

Enjoy your trip.
