2013 Wisconsin Guzzi Rally

It's that time again!! Time for the ADV Rider annual gathering at the Wisconsin Guzzi Rally.. Doesn't matter what you ride, just show up and have fun, tell lies, and drink a few beers with the clan!! (yes, beer is included with the rally fee, and it's always some nice micro brews as well as generic stuff. )

Quote:
The 29th Annual Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally will be held on August 2 - 4, 2013 at Lake Joy Campground. All brands are welcome. Registration is $35 before July 1, 2013 and $45 at the gate. We will feature Wisconsin's best grilled brats & burgers Friday evening, ham, turkey & beef Saturday evening and deluxe continental breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. As always, Wisconsin's finest refreshments, including soft drinks, will flow from the artesian taps. The rally fee also includes tent camping Friday and Saturday. Lake Joy is located in the heart of Wisconsin's "driftless" region - the area not flattened by the glacier. It is spectacularly scenic riding territory. The campground has clean modern restrooms and showers, and a 60 acre private lake (no fishing license required) with two beaches.
Several known suspects gather for this rally.. Riding a Guzzi isn't even close to being required, and jokingly it's becoming known as the Guzzi rally held for all the midwest BMW riders.. Come camp, enjoy a fire, eat and drink, and LAUGH with everyone..

Some of my photos from last year..

EDIT: I am delighted to see that registration is by printed form and Czech carrier pigeon methods, that we know and love.

I shall have my scribe begin filling out the paperwork in triplicate.

The beer trailer says "Lite". I would hope there are better selections.

The trailer says "Lite" but the tappers and kegs inside say Leinnies, IPA, and others. And yes, one tapper says Lite.

I like beer with taste and I've never been let down at this rally. And pre-registering at $35 means I can't afford to stay home during that weekend.

I should mention, there actually are Guzzi's at this rally!!

Chances are high I might actually ride one to the rally this year.

Naw. The rally is only 90 minutes from home. Hardly worth starting it for such a short ride. And I've been the target of discussion about the fact that I never ride the same bike to this rally two years in a row. (Not true)
While the Helix has never been ridden to this rally, the little Guzzi was purchased last fall and one of the reasons for the purchase was to actually ride a Guzzi to a Guzzi rally.

If it'll make you happy, I can ride back home on Saturday to get the Helix??

The beer trailer will make me happy, as will the superb riding. I think this will be the weekend that I use to finish up the rustic roads.
