I wear ear plugs too, for any ride at all. And wearing ear plugs with my couple-year old EXO-700 is quieter than wearing ear plugs with my EXO-410.

I've never noticed any sort of whistling it whining while riding with the shield in any position. I do like the little lock detent that holds the shield up just a little bit. That said, while riding this winter, I experienced a lot of fogging on my shield. Again, this is something that I didn't experience as often with my EXO-700.

Replied to your PM.

It's a great helmet. One of the few that fit my long head!

My view hasn't really changed. I still wouldn't buy it again. It's loud, the face shield tends to fog up in cold weather, and I wish I hadn't gotten the white one. It seems I can't touch the helmet without leaving a scuff on it.

It's not a bad helmet, but where I was looking for an upgrade from my previous Scorpion helmet, this one is a step backwards.

I placed an order for the helmet on motorcycle superstore as it was part if their daily deals for 59.99 shipped and it will be coming in on Tuesday.

I have two Exo-400 helmets with over 30k miles so I can't wait to check out the new changes. I wear a large in the 400 and it fits me snug and I hope the new helmet shape doesn't change fitment. I ordered a large in the 410.

$60??? Holy crap, what a bargain.

I still like mine, it has about 16K miles on it now. Yeah, it's a little loud, but everything still works, it's super comfortable and venting is great. Still looks and works like new.

I still don't think I'd pay the $$ for a Shuberth or Arai. Sure they're nicer, but not five to ten times nicer.

PS. JaimieZ was selling a widder heated vest on FM which I picked up and absolutely love it. My first heated gear!
