Seat options for GS 650.

After my many days trip down south, I found the seat on my gs unbearable, but I assume this is not news to any of you, but it was a painful eye opener for me, as used to I am to my wide uber comfy seat on my sportie.

I have already attached my alaskan sheepskin until that no longer worked, and then slid my rei inflatable seat pad under the sheepie and then, of course, I couldnt really touch the ground.

No matter, the seat was agony. I met a rider a few weeks ago who had a really nice gel seat attached ( his bike had less than 100 miles on it and already he had a vgel seat pad on, it was a brand new gs, he already knew what I had yet to learn) anyway, I forgot to ask him what brand it was.

And, no, I am not springing 300 for a custom seat. What are some options you have found that worked/ helped?

I put a Seat Concepts kit on the original seat pan. If I recall, it was about $170. VERY comfortable. Call them and talk to them about what seat option would be best. Very helpful staff.

There may be a link in the vendor area for a discount, if not, mention ADV when you call them.

I'll be installing a Seat Concepts kit on my Dad's 650GS today. I've got one on both my TE 610 and EXC 350. Very good stuff, just take your time installing. If you have a compressor, get a pneumatic stapler -- makes the job much, much easier.
