F700GS windscreens?

Ok, female friend just bought a factory-lowered F700GS; OEM windscreen is so stupidly low as to be completely useless, so searching for something actually useful.

I've searched all these:

http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/mot...70001-002.html

http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=50811

http://www.powerbronzeusa.com/110260...M---CLEAR.item

http://www.ceebaileys.com/bmw/bmw_f700gs_ws.html

GIVI does not make anything comparable to the ones for the R12GS; TT is absurdly expensive. Ztechnik nothing either.

SUGGESTIONS?

thanks

It has been commented in other threads that with a few simple modifications and purchase of the "L" brackets from the older F800GS that the screens from the older models will work, but I've not tried it ...

Madstad has modified their F650GS/F800GS kit to work:

Check here for Givi, Madstad, and MRA options.

Also, I have a factory lowered F700 with low seat and after riding it for a couple of months find that small shield to be surprisingly good, very smooth airflow on helmet. She might want to ride it for a while and see how she feels about it after 1000klm or so.

Get the BMW windscreen adapter (I think it's $55 bucks) then pick out any screen you want.

I have the MRA and it's bad ass.

You can see the brackets and the screen in this photo.

I ve got Cee Baileys 18" and happy with it. I have 700 GS with comfort seat. My height is 5' 7".

I also see Madstad had nice windscreens, too...I was too late to check this one. http://www.madstad.com/

I bought the BMW windshield bracket adapter to allow me to use a Touratech windshield with my 700. The adapter came with 4 plastic washers. I used two of them between the screw and the windshield for two of the screws (like the four stock ones). Does anyone know what the other two are for?

I got the CalSci 18". It screws right into the existing 4 screws and no need for tHe adapter. I'm 5'8" and it made a huge difference in highway riding.

We put the Cee Baileys sport shield on my wife's bike and it was a great improvement. It is much wider and 5" taller than the stock shield. She has been very happy with the shield and Cee Baileys customer support was great in modifying the shield to work on her F700GS with the hand protectors.

It bolted on with no bracket required.

I'm impatiently waiting for the Givi to be available in the U.S. Current campaign promise is October.

I'm going to order one from TwistedThrottle. Not sure when it will come in, but I'll let you know when it does and post pics.

You were right - not available yet. I couldn't even order it. I'll sit tight until October I guess.

I'm basing my Givi-Airflow-lust on performance reports on other motorbikes and scooters.
