It's the same motor as the transalp, africa twin, honda hawk and deauville, with a shaft drive single sided swingarm so kinda half way between the hawk and the d'ville. Cost me 450 and takes me everywhere I go, I don't own a car and don't use public transport. The picture was taken in Buttermere, Lake district UK, on a holiday last year. Hoping to go round the world on it when I can get the cash together.

It does 65mpg (UK gallons) pretty reliably in all conditions, cheap insurance, the only significant parts I needed were a new radiator after the original took a stone to the lower half, which I luckily got for free from another NTV owner, and then put the fairing on which I bought second hand for 30. Other than that it's been fluids and filters and lots of happy miles. love it to bits!

Interesting machine

Good stuff!

A couple of my bikes that have moved on to new owners

First up my old 89 FZR1000 - what a bike that was. Still one of my favorite big sport bikes of all time.

Next up is my 09 Ducati 1198, probably the last real sport bike I'll ever own. Just too damn uncomfortable for the kind of miles I like doing and fast enough that I knew the end result of keeping it would be ugly one way or another.

I luv white too, great color for a bike.

This is my 2011 Versys. I put 2013 oem plastic on it, much prefer it to the dark red.

The red wasn't a bad color, don't mean that... just not on a bike ;)
