the guy riding the 1190 is the dealer principal at the dealership where I bought my 1190 - very cool chap and YES, he CAN ride a bike - any bike!

Yes KTM has made a really good road bike there it's just a pity they didn't put that engine into an SE frame and make a decent dirt bike.

They have got full range off dirt bikes, enduro bikes. Now they have got decent long travel touring , adventure bike. And people actually wants to go long distance in dirt they can easy buy a 1190 r and happily go to Africa. You don't have to stop at least 250 miles to fill up so I am sure there is a reason they didn't put the engine in to the se frame. I don't think it would have handle as well and it couldn't have handle that kind of speeds . And it might be good on dirt but again similar to 1190r so I think they make a really good bike .
