Probably did the same route to Kenilworth today, she' pretty wet in them thar hills. Mr Bellthorpe red clay keeps your eyes wide.

Will post up some footage of that sticky section and various other sections, gives a pretty good idea on the terrain and track conditions.

No real difficulty on the 610 or my bros DR650, both with pretty rooted rear tyres.

All,

This is what bellthorpe is like at the moment, just like others have said she can be a bit slippery in there. this was all on the main trail, linking up with Bouloumba Creek rd to Kenilworth. No detours, ( beacon rd for example) or we would still be in there....

Also there is a lot of roadworks on and had to wait for some machinery to let us by. edited that bit out.

enjoy

Anyone got map or GPS location of the big fallen tree, just planning a ride with James on the quad and he won't get underneath it so I need to figure out an alternate route to miss it.

... the XR is the greatest off road motorcycle ever constructed. There's nothing it can't do, hasn't won or will not outperform.

You will have to make your way around through Booloumba Creek Rd I think Andy, as per the first ride up there with James.

That big tree is only a k or 2 from the turn off to Kenilworth on the Bellthorpe to Jimna track which if my memory is right is the Booloomba Ck track which also joins up to Grigor's rd. I went through there a couple of months ago and there was no tunnel under the tree then so I went back and headed toward Jimna and took the Middle rd track which joins up with Sunday ck rd, however there is a log bridge on Middle track but I cannot remember if the quad would be able to cross it.
Regards Eric

Ive seen land cruiser utes cross that bridge in the past but I haven't been through there in a while so it may have changed

Yeh no worries Middle Track is good but well chopped up, we went through there on the Team Moto ride, came across a 990 two up, he had a very interesting ride ahead of him. Looks like I will probably go that way back.
Thanks,
Andy

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"
