South Pole is much warmer than the North Pole cause it is down south.

Sask winters. Much lower humidity so -35C won't feel as bad as -35C in England.

Explore:
Qu'Appelle Valley

Big Muddy Valley( Castle Butte )

Glendive area in Montana ( badlands )

Day rides in Souris Valley

Trips to Minot through the valley ( visit bike shops etc )

You'll be close enough to hit the Beartooth hwy on a 4 day weekend ride.

I spent some time out there back when I used to work.

As for winter: spend time in the shop working on your bike(s)

Google Kijiji for bike shopping

Well you will enjoy the area. i grew up 30 miles from Weyburn. there will be no year round riding tho. april till october for sure... sometimes a little later some times not so late or early.
lots to see and do there, just not many roads with curves.... nice straight lines...

your license will be an written exam and then after a year a road test. there are restrictions during the whole process that takes 3 years to get to a full license.

if you can get one where you are might save some time...

Some insurance companies (can't speak for that province) will give you a discount if you have had a rider course (even a two day learner course).

The test itself is pretty much a joke if you know to ride. You might want to study as the signage is a bit different.
