Who wants to swap there "S" or "R" suspension for the new "Baja" edition suspention

A friend of mine just bought the "Baja Edition" 990 and would love to swap someone who has "S" or "R" suspension.

Plus it would be good to do the side and center stands with the swap.

So in other words, for a standard 990 suspension...

Out of all these "who wants to swap their S suspension for my standard suspension" threads, how many people have ever found someone who wanted to do it?

I bet you could count it on the fingers of one hand and I'm one of them (and I also got a large chunk of cash).

Best bet is to call SuperPlush Suspension in SF,Ca. They will stretch your new Baja to R spec and respring/revalve while they got them apart. IMO there is no better mod for these bikes than a trip to SuperPlush. With proper set up you might find no reason for the extra travel. I have a standard 06 with SPS reworked components and can push things very hard off road.

The new owner does a good job at setting up suspension, and would love to avoid the cost of buy'n the parts needed to go bigger.
Plus, it never hurts to ask. Who knows, maybe there's someone out there that would like to get his/her feet on the ground once in awhile.

Actually there are people.. Not from this forum, but that's the way I have swaped my suspension. I've told my KTM dealer 2 years ago that I wanted the S suspension, and if someone ever tells him that his bike is too tall for him, give him my phone number.. And 2 years later the call arrived:)

The guy who I swaped the suspension with, does mainly 2 up onroad riding, is too short to flat feet the S suspension, so he needed to lower it. Instead of lowering with a kit, he went this way. I paid him ~ $130 for his offer, and everybody felt good - He dropped off his bike in the morning, I swaped the suspensions, so he didn't even needed to wrench on his bike.:) It was a win-win story:)

Sorry for the tangent but I'm just looking into the Adventure...

What is the difference between the S, R and Baja suspension?

Is the Baja the shortest of the 990's?

The Baja uses the same suspension and side / centre stands as the standard 990.
