Tire size issue?

I find that it is hard to buy the OEM size tire for my bike, 110/100/18 but I see 120/90/18 in the tire type that I want. It turns out this tire is slightly smaller around than stock.

My problem is that the 120/90/18 is wearing in the centre on my swingarm. I had the chain set about right. I have changed the front sprocket from 15T to 16T so this tightens up the chain a little. I'm thinking I need a longer chain on the bike so I can get the tire back from the swingarm more. This is the stock chain. The current setting is almost all the way to the front of the travel and the chain is almost too tight.

I'm looking for smart advice here. It seems to me I need a longer chain as I cannot let the chain run too tight and I cannot allow the tire to rub on the swingarm. This is on a XR400R bike. Thanks EH!

Cheapest way? Add a link to your chain:

I perfer a endless chain so for the small cost I think it better to get a new chain. I'm afraid of loosing the link and standing on the side of the road feeling like a fool. Not to mention the sealed o-ring chain is better IMHO. I did order the chain rivit tool though, wanted one for a while and couldn't find one. I have had to pay a bike shop maybe $20 to make the chain for me. Thanks for the link.
