Yarnell Hill fire...

Such a tragedy, the loss of the Granite Mountain Hotshots!

We feel for the many friends, in our neighboring communities, who have been misplaced by this fire. Each time the phone rings I wonder if it will be good or bad news...

God Speed... to those who continue to fight the fire that still rages out of control.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those brave men.

Was searching for my Yarnell photo's...
Hwy 89 runs into my number-plate, most of the destruction was to the West, left of hwy 89 down in the trees. Peoples Valley is the flatland in the distance.
This fire is still uncontrolled and clouds are again building to the North. Certainly hope this evening is not as destructive as Sunday!

Thanks for posting mefadv. Anyone who rides the western mountains has probably met hot-shot crew members over the years. This hurts real bad. We will not forget your sacrifice.

The first time I rode through Peeples Valley I was struck by what a idyllic place it is. Big trees with large white picket fence surrounded ranches. Like a step back in time. Hope to see it that way once again. Thoughts go out to all who protect us.
