Long story made short I wasnt allowed into bosnia. I later hear in Bosnia you cant go running into the woods to poop because of all the land mines so I suppose I didnt miss much. Here I am going north through Croatia through Hungry around Bosnia and Serbia and into Romania.

I ended up sleeping over a tunnel for a new highway in croatia. There was a farmer taking care of his crops the next morning and he looked confused as I drove out of the woods and onto the road.

Entering Romania

Here I am entering Romania I did not know it but the highway going through the last city in Croatia was a toll and I had set my gps to avoid tolls so it took me to a ferry but the ferry would only accept Croatian money which i did not have enough of. The operator was nice enough to send me north to a bridge to cross the river and go onto Romania.

Romania was a new experience for me this was the first time I got to see farmers living off the land for living substance and not trying to turn a profit.

Not all Romania is farms there is a fair amount of industry left over from the communist and the western countries are taking advantage of the cheap labor.

I stayed the night inn a hotel most the time I would sleep outside but it was dark and I was in an induistrial part of the country so Instead of pushing it I just stopped.

The hotel was pretty nice compared to where I have been sleeping and the price was reasonable too. The next day I neded to drive something like 80km to Bechtel to catch the fair to Bulgaria and onto motorsapiens. I made a wrong turn and didnt know it as my gps did not cover romania or bulgaria. I happened to spot an airport on my way out of town and decided to stop by which turns out was a good idea.

There were three men here none spoke English but we were able to communicate enough. Two were mechanics and the third was a pilot who use to be a flight engineer in communist times. Th planes on the field were used for crop dusting.

The men at the airport were able top tell me I was on the wrong road for Bulgaria and told me to go back the way I came for 1 km and take a right hand turn this put me on the path for the Bulgarian border via ferry.

I made it to Bulgaria. When I got off the ferry the first thing I needed was gas and a map since my gps did not cover Bulögaria or Romania. After that I drove to motosapians motor camp. It was intersting on the way part of the road was under construction and I needed to drove around workers and heavy equipment, good thing I have the trans alp.

I met Jan and Eva from sweden at the camp they were nice enough to let me tag along to the transalpina highway in romania.

We had to go back through the same construction I dealt with on my way down and the same ferry ride again but with a different boat.
