Rampart Range Dual Sportin'

I am leaving today, for Colorado. Friday and Saturday I am taking my KLR650 into Rampart Range for a bit of off road. My brother and nephew are riding Honda 450 dual sports.
I will attempt to take pictures.
I invite you to post your dual sport experiences with Rampart Range.

Are you talking about the Rampart Range OHV area? If so have fun in the Whoops!

I'm fairly new to CO and was just searching for some easier places to ride. Maybe I'll head down there tomorrow and check it out.

This is where you're talking about, right?

checkin in

Yes, it is the OHV area. Somewhere around Leadville. That is where we are staying Friday night. My brother has acquired me a sticker.
I have no clue how easy it will be. I am hoping it will be a lot of fun.
If either of you want to see about joining us leave me a message and I can call if my brother has no issue with people joining us.

I was just basically going to try to give you a ride report. My parents taught me better than to invite myself to people's parties. If I'm going to come Friday I'll keep an eye out and introduce myself if I see y'all on a rest stop.

Leadville is kinda far away from Rampart Range. Rampart is closer to Castle Rock and Sedalia. Don't confuse Sedalia with Salida. I've ridden Rampart and is a lot of fun and has lots of easier trails. Make sure to stop in the Sprucewood store and restaurant.

leadville is out due to a run

Apparently they are having a run in Leadville. We will be in Pike's national forest and San Rafeal forest near Salida.
If you are in the area riding, I am riding a blue and white 2012 KLR and my brother and nephew will be riding Hondas.
