We rode a lot of dirt roads between fields and most of them had sections of soft sand. I was able to keep the front end floating on the 690 but the GSA just wanted to plow through and Braindmp was getting a pretty good workout. He went down another time or two and picking that beast up was wearing on us. We found some shade under another Baobab and stopped for a break.

After the break we took off between the fields again. We eventually came to a creek crossing about 25 or 30 yards wide. When we came through before on the quads it was pretty deep and the thought of picking up one or both of the bikes in the water wasn't too appealing at that point so we turned around.

We took the same route back to the house. We probably only did about 30 miles but almost all of it was dirt and a good portion of that was sand. It was hot as hell though and we were smoked by the time we got back.

Our plan for Sunday was to do the other half of the track in reverse. It would take us by the lagoon flats and the beach before heading back into the country side. It did not work out as planned.........

It works for me but maybe that's just because it's my smugmug account. Can anyone else see the video?

We spooned some new tires on Pete's bike yesterday so next time there should be three! Oh and the comptroller finally agreed to a helmet cam. I'm thinking about the Drift HD Ghost. Opinions?

I don't know anything about the Drift but I know a dozen professional videographers who use Go-Pros.

I used Larry's GoPro silver last weekend and it was good but the battery life sucks. They certainly have the best video quality from what I've read but having to switch batteries all the time would get old.
