Yeah, probably so

And it looks like it weighs about 500lbs less than the gorilla.

Once we got the GSA out of the rut, facing the wrong way unfortunately, I tried to take it down the beach to turn it around. It didn't want to turn. Who knew?

So we pulled it around, facing the right direction this time, picked it up and I gave it another go.

And that didn't work out so well either....

Final video of our beach excursion.

After I took off my gear, Larry came back and we laid it over again, pulled it out of the rut, picked it up again and power walked it down the beach until we got stuck again. Repeat. Eventually, we got it going on top of the sand instead of plowing through it and I jumped on (no ATGATT) and got it to the hard pack.

We had about a half mile of hard pack and there were some great ridges to play on but we were both so damned tired we just cruised along. And then we had to get back off the beach.

I rode the 690 off the beach and to the road without too much trouble. The GSA didn't want to turn once it was cruising on the hard pack so Larry went down again in the soft sand. I gave it a go and tried to get up some speed on the hard pack to climb off the beach and crashed a couple times as well. On the third try, I went slower on the hard pack and pinned it once I got it turned towards the road. I dug a trench up that beach but made it out.

We worked our way through some villages and eventually found a paved road. We road it back to the house and the expression on my face is a pretty good indicator of how I felt.

I'm not sure who said it but someone from my past summed it up very well, "If you're gonna be stupid, you better be hard."

Larry, luckily the shells were pretty small (those that were stuck on his fuel tanks) or I'm sure you would have noticed the evidence of Todd's get-off.
