I’m not sure if they were giving the ADV salute as part of a "Kodak moment" OR if they were giving it to me because those orange bikes were mucking up the shot.

Three TWATS.
Larry, Ryan knows where I have a few rattle cans in orange and black. Time to cross the abyss buddy!

And some video of someone trying to pick up a Gorilla before the camera arrived.

This one kicked left on me and raised the pucker factor a bit. Still fun though.

Also an Etool is good for sitting head call (one cheek) or digging out back tire.
Lance, I know those Beemer's of yours can haul a lot of stuff but an 8 foot square of plywood is just taking it too damn far!

Typical Marine who over compensates (like "When in doubt, empty the magazine.")

Or the Marines Corps Prayer:
THE WARRIORS PRAYER
LORD, MAKE ME FAST AND ACCURATE
LET MY AIM BE TRUE AND MY HAND FASTER
THAN THOSE WHO WOULD SEEK TO DESTROY ME.
GRANT ME VICTORY OVER MY FOES
AND THOSE WHO WISH TO DO HARM TO ME AND MINE.
LET NOT MY LAST THOUGHT BE
IF I ONLY HAD MY GUN!
AND LORD IF TODAY IS TRULY
THE DAY YOU CALL ME HOME
LET ME DIE IN A PILE OF EMPTY BRASS!

I think he meant 8" x 8"

Yea, about that... I was taking a nap under the bike, just enjoying the breeze. Thinking it would take an inmate a couple of minutes to flip a bitch and come back to lend a hand.

Much to my surprise our "point man" (and only one with a camera) was the first (and only) bastard to arrive. First words out of my mouth were, "Fuck, I need to get out from under this pig and stand it up before there is photographic evidence."

I went from a comfortable position under the bike to "almost up" in a matter of seconds, but it was too late. The Fucker was rolling film...

Forgot the kickstand & the piece of plywood is an excellent fucking idea!

Break Time!

Break Time in the Bush.

We need to talk someone into making sandwiches for our little "biker gang" OR we should plan to stop at a restaurant. I happen to know a nice place about 30 minutes from this remote location.

Regardless where we go there is always someone gawking over the GSA.

Yup, I can't remember if we were saying, "Man, someday I hope to own one of those" or "Damn, that fucking thing is so heavy."

And not one comment about Ryan's porn star mustache yet? Although I have to give it to him because he's supporting Movember. I can't even grow a damn mustache!

I think Todd had just mentioned how this looks just like the terrain that LIONS hang out in. Don't worry guys this Mustache will keep them away!!

We went to the Festival du Sahel just outside of Lompoul last weekend. We didn't go on the bike since it was in the sand dunes. Most folks stopped in Lompoul and took these to the camp

But we decided to take this instead

We had to air down the tires and the clutch may have come out a little worse for wear but we didn't have any issues. I had a couple tow straps just in case.

Tent city for the festival

Inside

"Open Air" bathrooms

Always room for one more right?

Pics are beautiful Todd! I want to go to Africa some day but never considered the West coast. Now, it looks like I need to start there.

Thanks Mike. It's not "Safari Style" Africa but there is a lot to see and do. We are enjoying it.
