Hey Scotty!

Yeah, we always go out in a group and I'm glad we did on this one.

Thumb F%!$*ING Thorns

As Todd mentioned the weekend didn't start out... well. But I had a "Route" planned with a a cool island connected by only a foot bridge.

You can only see so much from Google Earth, huge fucking thorns just happened to be one those things you couldn't see. By the time we reached the island, beside's the thorns the ride wasn't all that bad. I had enough time to snap a couple of shots before the "My Friend People" showed up to sell us something we probably couldn't have strapped to our bikes even if we wanted to buy it.

Hey guys. Thanks for checking in.

We still have the bikes but haven't been out and about for a couple months. Alan the Aussie is waiting on a new cylinder, Ryan's bike is still in pieces,

Pete's bike is on it's way to Uganda, Larry is working in Kenya for a month and I'm in the states on R&R!

It will be hot as balls when we get going again at the end of July but I doubt that will stop us.

Oh, and I took a quick trip to Germany for work earlier this month. I had a few of these during the week

Then we rented a car, drove through the Black Forest and saw a ton of bikes on roads that made me wish I was on a bike myself

And then did a bit of this in the Swiss Alps

We saw more bikes in one weekend than I've seen in the past year. The roads in the Alps are amazing and they were taking advantage of them.

I sold the KTM to my college buddy............that way I can still borrow it.

I didn't get a new ride. I'm just bike sitting for a friend and pulling a prank on Miss Mary.

She was NOT happy when I rolled the WR off the trailer

We're baaaaaaaack!

Well, two of us are anyway

Pete's trout fishing in New Mexico en route to Uganda, Larry's still on safari in Kenya (he says he's working but I'm not so sure about that), Alan has his bike back together but is still breaking in the new piston/cylinder and Scott is working.

So Ryan and I did a little shake down ride. He picked a great route. It had hardpack, sand, single track and even a rock garden…..

It was about a hundred miles, most of it was dirt and it was hot as balls! Ryan says the temp got up to 107. We didn't take too many pictures because it was so hot and we just didn't want to stop.

Probably the highest point we've seen in Senegal so far and also the start of a downhill rock garden. We needed to get down to the flat land but weren't too excited about the path down…..

Me coming back up the trail and looking for another way down.

This was the better way down.

Four of us are riding South tomorrow morning so I'm sure we will have some more stuff to talk about.
