Better in black

I bought the olive because i think it has the most "flexibility" in color options. I'm honestly baffled why BMW choose the colors for these bikes. why not a black one? why not just basic silver? anyway I decided before i got mine that i would make it black. so i had the beak and the tank cover wrapped in Vinyl. It's the 3M matte black stuff. I had it done at Signs of Seattle. Cost $150. I really like it and after all I'm the only one that counts when it comes to my bike...well actually my Fiance really likes it too..so there is that...

I like that. Why didn't you get the silver panels wrapped as well? That would look even better.

I've just measured my standard screen.

38cm middle of the screen at the bottom to middle of the screen at the top
41cm wide
45cm middle of the screen at the bottom to the highest point at the top

Can someone with a GSA screen take the same measurements?

Height measured from center bottom to center top = 43.5 cm

Greatest width near bottom = 46.5 cm

Greatest width 4 cm below top = 44.0 cm

Narrow width 13 cm below top = 38.0 cm

Can you post some more pics please.

I have considered doing this as well. How come you didn't do the tank with the rest of the bike? $150 is a damn good deal to, wow...

I had my tank done in black and love it, but think I might just do the whole bike now after seeing yours done.

The bike is looking great thanks for posting!

Did you install one of those tool cases on the left pannier support? If so, which one? I had something like that on my previous GSA and was great for the compressor and tire repair tools. It also looks like you have one of those small rok straps there.. what do you use that for?

Here is a picture I took and sent to one of the wind screen vendors to see if they would share a comparison of their yet to be unveiled screen

Hope this helps.

PS I ordered a Cee Bailey screen to see if it helps
