Thumb 2014 gsa

I bought the July 3 issue of MCN on my iPad ($2.99)
Short writeup stating what we would all expect. The formula remains the same as with the 1150 and 1200 previous.
Bigger fuel tank, estimated to be about as big as the current 1200GSA, taller suspension, wider and taller adjustable screen, tubular rear rack, and the wire wheels in black.
Expected to be unveiled this fall and available for purchase latter this year or early next.
I haven't decided which model I will buy this time (both my 1150 and 1200 were regular GS's), but I plan to purchase one of the two early next year.

IMO, it looks very good. We'll have to wait to get more info, which should start to become available pretty soon.

I rather like the idea of the engine having a "heavy-duty" black finish. The silver on mine ('10) is beat/caked probably beyond refurbishing as far as the aesthetics are concerned.

Each to their own I guess. I haven't ridden the new GS wc yet, but I had a lengthy look at one and sat on it and it does nothing for me. By the look of the wc GSA pics, I am even less impressed.

I'll be hanging onto my 2011 R1200GS (last of the Oil Heads) for a long time I think. That's saying something for me, I never keep any bike longer than 6 month's before buying a new one and so far I've had this one for 18 months!! I love my Oily '11

Well... I love my GSA but for what I have seen I am going to like the new one too.
Even the blackened look does it for me, looks very much like the triple black.

I still love my 2005 as well, and for the moment anyway have no plans on selling it. So, I can understand your point of view. Just don't test ride the new one.
