On the plus side they have run the crash bars round the cylinder heads. A massive oversight on the previous model imho. I always recommend the AdvDesigns extension bars as they've saved me countless times.

The inevitable LED technology is cool, but not really sold on the looks.

I have a 2010 GSA, and I'll keep running that instead. More power on the road would only chew the tyres faster, well, maybe get me into trouble as well, whereas the current GSA I'm juuuuust safe (especially when the cops pop up over crests). Gravel, off road, pah, the oily one is plenty enough of a handful... no extra power needed.

Suspension... replaced the BMW ESA with Ohlins ESA... hopefully Ohlins et al come up with something for the new one, coz we all know it's going to need replacing

Do you think we will get lucky and be able to carry over the BMW Adventure aluminum panniers from the oil cooled to the water cooled?

Certainly the bracket from the bike wouldn't swap over, but if they make the mating pieces from pannier to bracket the same, it should work.

How nice would that be? It would certainly ease some trade-in pain. I still plan to keep the oiler through its warranty period...the new WC looks like it will bring what I wanted from the Duc Multi in to the BMW. I absolutely refuse to get on one at the dealer. Not doing it...nope...not gonna happen.

Thumb Cut out

Think silencer
think right vs left
think about where the cut out is.
Those dastardly clever engineers put the silencer on the wrong side!
Sell more panniers

Windscreen

I hope that the larger adventure windscreen is interchangeable with the non-Adv models.

I really like having the adventure windscreen on my non-Adv bike and would like to do the same in the future. The stock screen is just a bit too small for me.

Wow...I really disliked this in the MCN shots I'd seen, in red. But in white (thanks Sharkman). I love it! I'm shocked at my own reaction. Now I need to grow longer legs (scratch that. The second things I need to grow longer are my legs).

Anyone else notice the two holes drilled in the upper crash bar? For the lights perhaps? It's going to be interesting how this evolves.

....ever get the feeling we are a cheap focus group for our Bavarian brethren?!...release a picture, sit back with a cool Konigsbacher and wait for the reaction!

The RT is next. Probably 2015 for the GSA but I have it on good authority from a dealer/friend that it is indeed coming.

Someone doesn't want current GS Adventure owners holding out for a WC Adventure. Might adversely effect sales in the short term. They know they have a market for the Adventure model so they will leak what mis/information needed and will time the release of the new Adventure so as to maximize overall revenue.

Will anyone here go from 1200 to 800 if they don't do a 1200 Adventure?

No way. There is no replacement for displacement. Cant go from a shaft drive to a chain either.

Issue with fitting the rad hoses etc could be solved if they took out the telever front end and replace it with some high end HP2 shocks and a factory 21 up front.

Have to say I really like the look of the LC GSA. Not a fan of the LC GS, something about the styling just does not work for me.
