It's not, but he somehow got the news and passed it to me.

Doesn't sound like I might, sounds like I should, and yes... MUCH earlier than expected.

That is a great dealer...thank you for sharing. The wait has been tough but it looks like we'll be posting pics of our new machines sooner than later.

Somewhat new video?

Not mine. Quality isn't great. Nice to know I can pack my credit card with me (~ 3:17 mark).

Oh and guess what? He says my bike arrive by the end of THIS month!

I am located in Virginia Beach just for your SA.

That's good if a loaded price. Below my $ cutoff point just barely. My dealer is closed on Mondays so I hope to get more info tomorrow. He though February on arrival.

$18,200 is a sensable base price given the standard GS $16,100. There's about $2k in crash bars and such between them.

Xmas is almost here! Now a race for the first delivery. East Coast probably has the shipping advantage here.

Makes sense. Any precedent for shipping time from east to west?

Back in November, my dealer said late March. It would be interesting if that changed to late January/early February. My riding season doesn't really start until April or May, so late March is just fine with me.

I'm okay with March as well but our riding season changes day be day. I just in about 400 miles this weekend with a warm streak. I've also ridden shorter distances in the 20s provided there is little chance do ice. Today 60. Thursday 20.

What is with the goofy looking heat shield that extends around the back of the pannier?

I believe I did, and it never happened. A simple bike from BMW, or nearly any manufacturer of the R1200GSA size will just not make financial sense.

Overhead cam never happened, Huh? And when 6-8 year old Super Enduros & HP2 's in the flea market are regularly selling for 80-90% of their original price, their has to be some kind of demand.

I do not believe I ever said that, but will send you a six of your favorite beer if you can prove it.

I did say that I didn't think the Wethead would be out last year. I was wrong and paid for it.

Ay residual demand for the HP2 is dues to rareness and the price due to multiple upgrades.

It looks like the dead air shield on the Vario bags. It will probably keep your undies in the right bag from becoming toasty warm!
