Motorex oil15-50

I just changed my oil but this time the oil was green or blue so weird I have never seen this before? is that normal? the jug was the same 4t motorex oil just 15-50 and last time it was 10-50. smells like oil looks like coolant. B

Yes, it's normal. Can't remember which, but one of the motorex full synthetics has a bluish green tint to it.

Which flavor 15w-50 Motorex did you select? There are several. I have used the motorex 15/50 "Boxer" in the GSA and it has a blue tint.

Anyway- If you select Motorex next time, the oil you want to look for is the Motorex Powersynt 10/50, or second the Motorex Crosspower 10/50.

Ok since we're here and on this topic, not to steal the thread, but I just bought the 'cross power' for my 990. Before my trip I had used 'power synt' for her. I don't necessarily take it back to exchange, but I don't always use her off road. I might just go ahead and use it, but what's the differences in the two. Is there advantages to either one in the 990? Thanks.

Yup, that's amazingly enough what I read from their website also... but doesn't really answer my question...

According to their description, one is for OFFROAD and one is for SPORT BIKES.

I've used them both in my exc dirtbikes and felt no ill effects.


Other than that don't know what to tell ya.

The Power Synt probably has less Zink in it so that the Cats last longer.
