Pledge on plexi screen?

Anyone ever heard of using Pledge on their screens? I have an 1150 GSA and used to use Plexus, but it has gotten way too expensive. I thought I heard that Pledge may do just as good a job.

Thanks for chiming in!

John

Yes. There has been more than one thread for cleaning visors and windshields using Pledge (I prefer the lemon scent).

Most of the posts were in the equipment forum: http://www.advrider.com/forums/searc...rchid=25755255

Lemon is fine, but I prefer "mountain fresh". Been using it for years and can report no bad effects from using pledge on helmets or any other parts.

I've been doing it for years. Great stuff... And Mrs. Stain always seems to have plenty around!

I just wish they would make it in a size friendly to tank bags!

Honda "SPRAY POLISH" also works. It is available in the smaller spray can. That's what I travel with.
I've also been using lemon Pledge for a long time.

I've been using Pledge on windscreens and such since, oh, when cordless phones came onto the market.

Doesn't last long, is a bit sticky, but works great at dissolving bug splat. I've tried others over the years, but keep coming back to Pledge. A bottle and an old t-shirt. Tried the wipes, don't like them all that much. Not as wet, so they don't disolve things as well, and there is nothing dry, so you can't buff it as well.

Bingo! Adds some water repellency to your face shield too.
