2-up day trip with Wifey to Mt Rainier on Vespa

It was to be a nice day for a road trip to Mt.Rainier for some day hiking. We decided to put a little 2-up distance on our Vespa GTS 250ie. about 2.5 hours one way.

first stop for a break at a local store

bike front view, spare tire mounted if needed

panniers loaded with day supplies

arrived at Mt. Rainier, Washington State, about 6,000 ft elevation, no issues with fuel injected Vespa. Nice to have special motorcycle parking

mt rainier in back ground at 14,410ft peak

snow on ground during hike

riding gear on bike during hike.
Semi-long distance impressions:
1. Kept up with traffic, no issues up to 70 mph indicated
2. park speed limit ~45 mph
3. suspension was not adequate for passenger, need to consider new shocks.
4. wifey was not happy with not so well groomed federal park roads. Too bumpy for her tastes, even at shock stetting to max preleoad
Enjoy!

Nice one,guys!
It`s always good for me to read a scooter RR,especially a Vespa one, even though my Vespas are 2 stroke PXs.

Your GTS looks well sorted for travelling....I like the dinky panniers.

Post more trips !

Ya, I spent some time upgrading the scooter for more storage. The new vespa's are quite modern, disc brakes (front/rear), fuel injected, freway capable, metal construction, 250cc to 300cc. I just need to upgrade the suspension for wifey's comfort level.
