2011 GS maintenance questions...

Hi-

I recently became the owner of a 2011 GS Triple Black, and have a couple questions.

1. I used to have a 2007 GS and in that time period it came to light that final drive failures could have been caused by the recommended fluid level was too much, and over-pressurization was causing leaks. The published fluid amount was thus revised (I forget the amount) and one had to carefully measure the amount when changing the fluid. Questions- is this still in effect or have the manuals/RepROM's been revised? What is the correct amount for the final drive?

2. I want to change the plugs, and I've read conflicting reports of the new plugs needing and not needing gaps checked, and the design makes it hard to check. Question- do they need gapped and what is the correct gap if needed?

3. What kind of oil do you use?

That last one was a joke!!!

Thanks- it's good to be riding again!

1) the correct amount is 1,8 dl

2) just buy the plugs that are recommanded, they work just fine.
