Vintage Honda day trip in the Wasatch (Utah)

My in-laws, a friend, and I headed up Strawberry Ridge today. The bikes:

1972ish XL250 (AKA Smokey)
1974ish XL350 (AKA The Fumigator)
1976 XL250 (AKA my father-in-law's baby)
1981 XL185S (AKA my Putt-Putt)
1981 XR500 (AKA Beast)

Of course, I laid down my putt-putt. I was going too fast (for my skills), over corrected into the hillside, and then she dropped off the right side. Snapped the brake lever and crushed both turn signals. *sigh*

Brake handles and turn signal lights are highly over rated. The value of a good grin is constantly under estimated. Ride on.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

I wouldn't mind having an xr185 like I had in the early 80's. 80mpg, light weight and super capable. I rode it from SLC to work over Guardsman to Park City and back through Mill Creek every day in the summer. Didn't know it was adventure riding, thought of it more as motorized hiking. That little bike can do it all - I rode it through Canyonlands on both sides of the river with a friend on a 360 Husky. I had to go fetch gas for him to make it out.
