Cool2 Review/CJ Designs Sidestand Re-Locator

This product gets a Siskel & Ebert 2 thumbs up.

A 990 owner ("Skinner") advised buying this because it supposedly improves on the KTM design by moving the location to a frame member from the original engine case.

LAfter just making the install I can say yes the product does what it says it will do. The product is stout, threads clean, bolts top quality. Goes together easily. Doing the install provides an education on the need for the product. What the f was KTM thinking mounting the Sidestand to the case? Drop on a rock and there goes the case.
It was fun too modifying my bike in a simple, cost-effective way with a gizmo that is well crafted by a cottage manufacturer

Made in USA too.

BTW got prompt service. And great advice on blocking off the Sidestand switch.

This was one of the most satisfactory mods I've made to any of my bikes. The instructions were excellent too.

Edit: Apparently a new design exists so mine is an old one then I had no idea...

The install pictures above are not of CJ Design side stand relocator. It's a complete different design. (The one he now sells is based on the PAbiker relocator design and is completely different. And vastly superior in my opinion)
You might want to edit it to avoid confusion.

Yup it's true, that IS NOT the CJ Designs relocator. The link shows the side stand which still keeps the side stand mounted to the engine case. CJ Designs is the ONLY side stand relocator to move the side stand away from the engine case!!!
