Home safely after doing day 1. A great days riding and awesome to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones. Thanks to Clint and Rosie for another fantastic MMMM.

HB Crew at the start line - slightly frost bitten but otherwise good to go!

well I arrived home at 8.30 - had a great ride but 6.30am to 8.30pm (670km) makes for one shattered puppy.

So did your ruse work?

Thanks Clint and Rosy - I had a great day (with the odd exception...)

Nice pic. I had a ball, but seriously need different tyres!

Edit: I saw lots of ice on Sat morning, but didn't have any moments on ice itself. Sux to have some bins, perhaps next year we could take a spray can of flouro paint to warn others.

Flouro paint and cones and Hi Viz vests. To be rurrly safe we could get someone to walk in front of us swinging a lantern

Trying not to sound negative or sarcastic but it was a mid winter ride, there was ice, and some people fell off. If I hit ice on the Highway and fall off, can I hold the driver of the car in front of me responsible for that?
Perhaps we should make the ride organiser responsible for riding at the front and stopping to identify all hazards? (please dont Clint ).
Its not nice to fall off (even when your as good at it as I am ). Surely it is the responsibilty of the individual to ensure their own safety.

Its called life, you can either live it, or you can regulate it out of existance
