Wings is an excellent exhaust can with top rate service from Gorazd. Sounds great, weighs next to nothing, seems to liven up the bike but that might just be the aural pleasure of hearing that magnificent engine.

My dealer has said that you won't be able to do a cam/valve swap with the RC8. Same engine but he said they changed it enough to not be compatible this way.

Up to 2010 the engines are different. From 2011+ they are the same. You could take the transmission from an 1190 into an rc8r. Give me 2-4 months and i'll prove it.

Wings

Ordered my shortie can on Monday, Gorazd shipped it on Tuesday, it was on my doorstep today (Thursday)! That's right, from Slovinia on Tuesday to my door in Cali on Thursday.
Easy install, dropped a lot of weight, more foot room for passenger, looks and sounds FANTASTIC! Could not be more satisfied with the can or the customer service.

I have the same bike on order.
Having a hard time waiting for it to get here!
Which insert or baffle did you get?

Hopefully I'll have a bike to put it on soon

They ship two db killers with Wings, one is a little larger of an opening than the other.

It came with the "large" baffle installed plus a smaller one. I'll stick with the large baffle.
I've only had the bike for 5 days. (After waiting almost a month.) Absolutely love it and almost due for the 1st oil change. I've been good, keeping it under 7K rpms. I'm ready to start letting her rip!
Congrats on the new bike. You made the right color choice.

That's good to hear they send both baffles.
I have read a bunch of posts concerning fuel mapping for various reasons, including changing the exhaust. Did you have to do that?
Thanks!!!

"WINGS silencers are designed to ensure that your bike will run properly without the need for EFI remapping when either of the two dB-killers is fitted." (From the Wings installation instructions.)

Enjoy your new bike. I know I hated waiting for mine to be delivered!

NICE!!!
Glad you mentioned that it has the spark arrestor. Definitely needed out here in Colorado and the West. Thanks.

I am of that group. Can't wait till my Dyno/tuner guy can get something like tune ecu for this bike. I'll skip PCV and wait. Ended up taking the power commander out of 990 when tune ecu became avail. Waste of money. My tuner can't wait to tune my 1190r. Says there's lots of juice left to procure. He's focused on the fact that the engine is a de tuned rc8r.
Hmmmmm I wonder if a 1290 super duke motor would fit in my SE??
