I picked up my 1190 Adv on Saturday and have ordered Wings short. Am a bit concerned r.e. insurance and the exhaust not being E-signed. My insurance specifically said road legal after market exhaust. So, perhaps I ought to reconsider this exhaust and go for Akro instead?

Or Remus. I have the same dilemma and I'll probably get a Remus.http://www.remus.eu/shop-motorrad/kt...13/110-kw.html

Actually my stock pipe sounds better more throaty..
If i buy this pipe will i be removing the baffles to clear its throat.
My problem is i have not listened to a live 1190 with the Akra.
Im unable to make an informed decision...

Sure looks good...but looks isnt everything...

Try listening to this blokes bike , note the end cap.

Yeah Birch Is a very professional and confident rider, he does this for a living
I admire his skill for sure.
The end cap of the Akrapovic is very diffrent to standard, it must have been welded on to produce that sound..

I like the look of the Akrapovic and it compliments the bike, I just need to give it a bit of a think before I make my decision...

New Scorpion exhaust. First one off the production line. Titanium wrap and back end cap. Removable baffle. Sounds great!

Sharp looking exhaust, but a bit long to my eye. However, I have the factory exhaust on my bike, so I can't complain about an exhaust being too large.

That hanger looks a bit sketchy for a bike that may or may not be seeing some rough roads/fire roads/gravel roads.

Not released yet but I suggest you email Metal Mule or Scorpion Exhausts UK.

The length is there so as to avoid melting the right rear indicator from the exhaust gases. Hanger seems strong enough to me but I'm a 95% road muncher!

I took the baffles out of the Wings shortie today just to see what it was going to sound like.

WOW! I sounds great but WAY too loud. Next I'm going to try the long and short DB killers and see which one I like better.

I really didn't expect it to be that loud. I had young children running and cowering in fear

Louder the better for me. Safer on the roads where I live to have some approaching noise!

I did the same thing and got the same result (children and pets running for cover). I cut the screen off the small baffle. The db level seems like it's between the large baffle and no baffle, perfect for me. If your cat is gone or going, read here ~ http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=984192 ~ when I cut the screen I started getting the exhaust popping.

Looks far too long and unfinished. Is there going to be a heat shield to cover up the ugly pipe work ?
