Whether it be Dorna wanting to keep an American in a higher level seat of whatever, I am still hoping there is someway he ends up taking Bautista's seat for next year.

Dovi

Pedrosa has won here the last 3 years.
Lorenzo has never won here.
This track has not been kind to Crutchlow.

Last weekends heroics aside JLo's injury is still just two weeks old. It's not "all better". This is a high effort track. He really can't afford to fall on it and my guess is he hasn't been working out as much as usual for the last couple of weeks. If he qualifies and places well it will be most impressive.

Ducati.....(big sigh)....

I'll be real surprised if any Yamaha finishes ahead of Marquez; I won't be surprised if Marquez makes it tough on Pedrosa. Safe money would be on Pedrosa, but Marquez has done well at this track, too, and is up to speed on the 1000 already.

Not many have any options for this next season.

It is a little confusing. Ducati just says Dovi will ride the "lab" bike. Nicky says Dovi tried and liked a new frame at Misano that he (NH69) did not get a chance to try.

So...

Did you guys hear Nicky is entertaining offers to go to WSBK next year? THis is the final year of his Ducati contract and he's not going to stay in motogp on a non factory bike. He's been getting solid offers from several WSBK teams.

Could be a threat to be the first person to win a motogp title and a WSBK title.
I hope he does it!

He's been year to year for awhile. He said he wouldn't know what he was doing until Indy weekend. He's a fan favorite. He sells motorcycles. He's as competitive as anybody else who has ridden that thing (save CS). I think he gets another year.

He likes being in the big show. Sure he is disappointed that he's still a second off the pace, but I don't see him going to World Superbike until there are no seats for him in MotoGP.

He mentioned he was quicker than Rossi last year at certain tracks, and that Rossi won last week, reinforced his belief that with the right package he could win again.
