If earlier rumors are true CC may not have the choice of staying with tech3.
I think Jorge will be slower or more cautious than usual and in all likelyhood the yamahas will be scrapping over 3, 4 & 5th places so he will want 3rd, I'm looking forward to the yamaha scrap as it will be telling of each riders ability at this stage.

Do I need to set my russians onto Bradley to clear out the Tech 3 garage a bit?

Seems very unfortunate timing for Cal, his age is working against him in this case.

Cal is forcing the issue. He learns every round. He is obviously fearless and at times, the fastest man on the track. Even MM brake checked him last round. Almost ruined the race for both. I'd say MM didn't perform that stunt out of a sense of strength.

Root for Cal. He's the real deal, and he likes to tell us all about it.

MM didn't brake check him. Did you hear/read the post race interviews?

It's funny how this is put forward with confidence even when the participants don't say anything like that (see also Stoner and Rossi at Turn 11, Laguna '08).

Nothing against Crutchlow -- solid, gutsy rider -- but he often makes mistakes.

Had it not been for the injury and if Crutchlow got a decent start, Assen would likely have been a Yamaha podium sweep. In other words, I think Lorenzo's 5th, while a great result, might also be as good as he does this Sunday too, cause even if he's in better shape, Sachsenring doesn't seem to suit to the Yamaha as much.

Now watch Lorenzo get pole ...

I realize that it's not a traditional Yamaha track but I personally think it's crazy to rule JLo out of a podium at any track.

I think this is the safest and most accurate prediction I have yet seen.

With Rossi winning the last race and Jorge's collarbone still in the danger zone, I think Yamaha will give Jorge the Spies bike this weekend.

It's rare he's off the podium, sure. OTOH, he finished 15 seconds behind Rossi at Assen, and Lorenzo's generally faster.

I don't know how you guys can make your bold picks before the bikes have even rolled on to the track for the first practice, let alone qualifying.

You do realize that you are asking that question on ADV, right?

I thought it was obvious, I'm the greatest expert in the entire universe on racing despite having absolutely no experience with it.

What do I love about MotoGP 2013? Its the most unpredictable season in years.

We could wait until the last minute before the race to make predictions based on computer algorithms. We would still be just as ignorant of the actual finish and our winnings would still amount $0.00.

Holy crap! 3 Ducatis crash in FP1. Ionnone's bike breaks in two at the swing arm.
Nasty tank slapper for Nicky.
