F800GS top box specifics

Hey guys,

So............. i drop the bike lots.

Here is just a taste :)...

And so because of this i have decided not to get hard panniers because i would bash them to pieces... and i cant get soft panniers because i would destroy them. SO a couple mates have suggested a top box.

So my question is ... what kind of topboxes are out there that do not bulge over the side of the bike? i.e the crashbars will hit the deck before the topbox and wont completely destroy it. Something not too small but will do the job for a single rider on the dirt. If you have any pics that would be much appreciated. Also i carry a touratech aluminium rack so something taht would fit to that would be perfect!

Cheers big ears

Thanks for the advice. I actually have that twisted throttle dry bag and andy straps... but i kind of want something that is lockable? and easy to just quickly take out things like cameras/phones/radios etc... that bag takes 20 minutes to open and dig through and attatch back on... and then while your riding it slides forwards. (thats the main reason why im exploring top boxes)

Thanks

Aahhh, good to know. I was thinking about getting one, I like the streamlined effect of no side bags and weight distribution more foreward than a rear rack and top box, but (like you) I also want lockable, easy on-off, and quick access. A topbox made in this long narrow configuration, or another similar bag that had easy access capability, would be perfect for me. (for 1 up only obviously)
