If you carry your registration or insurance cards on your bike, they now have an address to go with those keys & opener - just thinking out loud here...

Damn sorry!

Garage opener already disabled, all neighbors notified to keep watch, working on the re-keying this evening and the garage is already done as it's where anything of value is........

How can it be fun if there's not at least an outside chance of dying?

This sucks!!! Here's a pic of the seat on the bike, from your smugmug. This is pretty unique. I hope it is found.

The seat is a one of a kind.. definitely speak up if anyone sees it anywhere nationwide on craigslist or anything!

Me Too, I'm noting and adding all the stuff I've done to it.....

Might be time for you to do an extensive compare and contrast review of the

TE610 / 630 / 650 since your the only one I know of with direct experience of all three. If I don't get it back and insurance comes through good I'll be looking for something euro in that class.......

What's the thief thinking? My guess:

"Hot plates, rare/highly noticeable bike, can't get new plates so probably should never ride it on the street."

What viable options does that leave him?

-Sell it outside of the metro areas/out of state...that's gonna take a lot of effort and could still be very risky. Unlikely IMO.

-Part it out...Husqvarna parts will stick out like a sore thumb on any forum and CL. He may know that but still try it because it's probably the most profitable option for the amount of risk (relatively low, impersonal).

-Hide it in the garage and trailer it to the trails every now and then or sell it to a shady friend who would do the same knowing that it's stolen (think long-term ownership of a known stolen offroad vehicle, if that makes sense).

I'm just trying to brainstorm where all helping ADV eyes should be trained on, I have no intent of crushing hopes. I hope the cops are on the ball AND this thief is stupid enough to post the whole bike on CL. That would be your god-send.

That really sucks mountain. A 3 minute window and they stole it. wow. sounds impulsive to me. quick joy ride?

Did you leave the key in it? I almost always did with mine as the key is so small I feared loosing it. I'll keep an eye out for it up north here.

Yup, with my gear hanging on it right in the construction area we're working.....

Joy ride, thrash and burn most likely is my guess.

I took the liberty of editing the OP's list of items below to facilitate posting this on social media and other lay person communication channels. Don't forget to add a bike pic, the when and where, and to call 911. The more guns I mean eyes on this, all the better!

A lay person could easily recognize all these:
Custom seat - white top w/ red/black sides, "Unpaved Aggression" sticker near rear wheel, "Safety third" sticker on windscreen, front fender bag, soft side bags, and front and rear grab straps; front lettered "unicorns", rear lettered "took my car".

I imagine the front fender bag would seem most unusual and noteworthy to motorcycle enthusiasts outside the enduro/dual sport/ADV world much less a total lay person. The grab straps must be one-of-a-kind although probably easy for a lay person to gloss over.
