I generally agree with the replies.

That being said, riding around with a shirt that says that? Aren't you kinda inviting a response? It's a definite "look at me, give me some attention" gesture. He should be less sensitive. We should all know bikers are sensitive people. Deep down inside at least.

The only thing I can say is if you can afford a GS you probably have way too much money. BMW's are WAY overpriced. I've owned 7 airheads back in the day. The scene has change out of all recognition. After 33 years as a BMWMOA member I finally dropped out.

He was so mad he forgot to get gas and rode off saying FU with his little helmet still swinging on the passenger peg.

And then, the hot Fiat commerical chick standing by the pump was like "That was so cool"!

And I was like, "Yeah NBD."

And she was like "You're cool! Do you want to make out?"

And I was like "sure"

And she was like "then let's go somewhere adventurous on your awesome super dirt bike"

and I was like "cool"

Is that how the rest of this made up BS story happened in your head? Pathetic.

Saturday while at the gas pump a dude on a loud piped Harley pulled up at the pump next door. I told the dude that I liked his shirt but thought it hypocritical considering his riding gear. He said what you talking about.? I said short pants, no gloves, crocks and a helmet that is no better than wearing a pot on your head. He went ballistic. He told me I was riding Jap crap ( actually a GS) and that I should get a real bike. He ranted for several minutes and Other people by now were starting to laugh with me at him. He was so mad he forgot to get gas and rode off saying FU with his little helmet still swinging on the passenger peg.

Please forgive me, Harley dude.
Didn't turn out the way you thought it would did it.

What I find amazing is all the nasty replies insinuating BMW riders are assholes! Not that some are not, but aren't you being the same judgemental pricks as the OP was against the Harley riders?

Amazing how some people think that insulting someone for insulting someone else somehow makes them less of a "dick" for doing it.

Carry on, and enjoy YOUR superiority!

Go ahead and pile on. I deserve it.
I just thought it funny that he had on a shirt indicating his dislike for the way others drove but at the same time did not think he needed to wear any gear to protect him from these bad drivers.

In retrospect I should have just kept my dumb mouth shut.
Sorry Harley dude

I'm the first one to shake my head in disbelief over some of Non-gear that other riders wear, but right now I'm sitting here with a giant chunk of road-rash on my right calf that's still running and drooling blood and other badness because I had on all the right stuff, EXCEPT for good pants! That's right, a pair of worn out BDU's that should have been thrown out 10 year ago. Not that a brandy new pair would have been much better, but they would have been a little better. Leather pants with armor would have been MUCH better, and I wouldn't still be leaking stuff 4 weeks later and probably going to miss my most favorite D/S ride of the year in 2 1/2 weeks.
BUT, I usually keep my opinion to myself and friends.
Giving the guy shit when he didn't say a word to you? REALLY stupid!!!!!!!!
I would have told just you to fuck-off.
The thing I'm happiest about is getting to see that ugly ass fat Prius driving cunt in the YouTube video. PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris

Asked a guy last night at a gas station how he liked his new production Triumph. He looked like he wanted to spit in my face and said he liked it just fine. Obviously didn't want to talk to me.

It's not about the brand it's about being an asshole. Had a nice chat with some Harley riders earlier in the day and they were pleasant as could be, despite me being on the same DRZ400 as when attempting to talk to Triumph guy.

PS Triumph guy wasn't wearing any gear and neither were Harley riders but I don't see what that has to do with being a jackhole!
